PRESS RELEASE Chinese Seafood Certification Institute Hosts Global Food Technologies, Inc. GUANGZHOU, CHINA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 09/16/2006 - Global Food Technologies, Inc. (“GFT”), a biotech food safety company, announces its successful trade mission to China. GFT executives were special guests of the Chinese Seafood Certification Institute at the 3rd China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair in Guangzhou, China. During September 15-18, GFT executives and members of its advisory board met with State and Provincial leaders discussing GFT’s entry into China’s seafood industry. “The Chinese seafood industry produces twenty five percent of the world’s seafood and we are interested in GFT’s advanced technologies to assist our exports and domestic products,” said Han Min, CEO, Chinese Seafood Certification Institute. She added, “We are pleased to introduce GFT to appropriate ministries and industry leaders in China. The Small and Medium Enterprises Fair provided a productive venue for introductions as Guangdong Province is first in seafood and first in overall economic strength in China. Next week we will see some of the same leaders in their offices in Beijing for further discussions.” Discussing GFT’s branding opportunities for seafood products Han Min stated, “We share the opinion that GFT’s iPura label could become a worldwide icon for clean and safe food. This project is worth pursuing for the benefit of the Chinese seafood industry.” Keith Meeks, President of GFT commented, “The support for GFT’s technologies and services in China could accelerate our strategic plans. We will continue to move forward in China with high level discussions.” Information on GFT is available at: www.globalfoodtech.com and www.ipura.com Information on China Seafood Certification Institute is available at: www.csci.org.cn Information on Department of Small and Medium Enterprises is available at: www.sme.gov.cn |
